What turns me on the most about this time we’re living, is the creativity.  People are taking on their most popular local recipes and giving it the vegan treatment.  It’s not easy.  That comes from experience.  It takes trying, testing and trying and more testing to find the right measure and mixture of ingredients to reach that popular taste of the original recipe.

So, kudos to everyone out there working on these new takes on old recipes.  This couple from Austria has done just that.  I tried it.  Congratulations.  This vegan recipe is wholesome, yet not heavy.  It is filled with taste.  And, although I can’t claim to know much about Austrian cuisine, this vegan dish is a perfect Sunday lunch for me and my family.
