Guest vloggers, Violet’s Vegan Comics are prolific vegan children’s authors and illustrators, with a Vegan Story Time video series on Youtube. This is the story of a cunning cow with a heartwarming secret.

At Violet’s Vegan Comics we know that being vegan is the most positive, life-changing, world-changing
thing you can do. Being vegan is refusing to collaborate in violence. Being vegan is being strong
enough, and brave enough, and loving enough to go against the majority and stand up for those who can’t
stand up for themselves. Being vegan is taking direct action to save lives – and what could be cooler
than that?
We also know that if you’re the only vegan in the class, and sometimes feel like you’re the only vegan in
the world, it’s nice to read stories about other vegans who are fighting the same battles you’re fighting;
people with their eyes wide open who enjoy life without hurting anyone. So we’ve created a virtual world
full of characters you’ll enjoy spending time with – cool vegan kids, living life to the full – thwarting
villains, saving lives and eating cake!
For little tots there are big, colourful stories including nursery rhymes and rhyming stories. For ages eight
and up we have lots of comics as well as fairy tales and some funny short stories about a naughty boy
who gets into all sorts of trouble sticking up for animals. We even have a couple of graphic novels for
older readers. All the stories are free to read on the site but if you’d rather have them in paperback there is
a link to our little bookshop where you can buy them.
As well as the stories we have a Things To Make And Do page full of recipes, craft activities and
puzzles. There is also a poems page and a music page, and a Story Time page containing videos of some
of the stories read aloud.
Our selection is continually growing so keep coming back – and tell your friends! Why not follow the
blog so you don’t miss the new stuff as it comes out? We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
